The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in VDC/BIM coordination on large-scale projects, strong Revit/Navisworks/AutoCAD skills, and ACC experience.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of VDC/BIM coordination experience (GC, subcontractor, or design firm).
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC); ReCap and point cloud workflows preferred.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, constructability, and construction sequencing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead coordination efforts and drive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP/FP BIM coordination workflows from preconstruction through construction.
• Facilitate coordination with field superintendents, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Perform and oversee clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and ACC.
• Develop, manage, and maintain coordinated BIM models and drawings.
• Lead coordination meetings, track action items, ensure timely issue resolution.
• Conduct site walkthroughs to validate field conditions against models.
• Manage and track coordination issues within ACC with proper documentation.
• Enforce VDC QA/QC standards and coordination sign-off processes.
• Support implementation of VDC standards and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.

VDC/BIM Manager (Mission-Critical / Data Center Focus)

Job Location:Philadelphia, PA or remote considered

LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group is seeking a VDC Manager in Atlanta to support data center new construction projects. The Senior VDC Coordinator plays a critical role in implementing VDC processes throughout design and construction, with a strong emphasis on MEP/FP systems coordination in complex, high-density, and mission-critical environments. This role is responsible for leading coordination efforts, driving issue resolution, and ensuring high-quality BIM deliverables that support construction execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing coordination workflows across multiple stakeholders, including field operations, design teams, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP/FP BIM coordination workflows from preconstruction through construction.
• Facilitate and drive coordination with field superintendents, design teams, subcontractors, and specialty vendors.
• Perform and oversee clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Develop, manage, and maintain coordinated BIM models and composite drawings based on evolving design and construction inputs.
• Lead coordination meetings, track action items, and ensure timely issue resolution and accountability.
• Conduct site walkthroughs to validate field conditions and ensure alignment with coordinated models.
• Manage and track coordination issues within ACC, ensuring proper documentation and closure.
• Enforce VDC QA/QC standards and manage coordination sign-off processes.
• Support implementation of VDC standards, workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to overall team development.

Mission-Critical / Data Center Experience (Preferred)

• Experience working on data center or mission-critical projects with complex MEP infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of:
• High-density MEP systems (power, cooling, containment)
• Redundancy strategies (N, N+1, 2N systems)
• Raised floor and/or overhead distribution coordination
• Experience coordinating specialty systems and vendors, including UPS, switchgear, busways, CRAC units, and controls.
• Familiarity with tight tolerance coordination, prefabrication strategies, and installation sequencing in constrained environments.
• Exposure to commissioning, turnover, and as-built model requirements for mission-critical facilities.
