Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC in Wendell, NC seeks a VDC Department Manager to lead BIM/VDC for MEP projects, with a strong emphasis on prefabrication and virtual modeling before field work begins.

You will build high-performing teams, drive our Build it virtually first philosophy, ensure model accuracy for fabrication, and coordinate with internal teams, trade partners, and clients to deliver on-time, quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of construction, BIM, VDC, or related industry experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation practices, and prefabrication.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Leadership in driving VDC adoption across teams and trade partners.
• Strong commitment to virtual construction methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to model accuracy and detail.
• Ability to translate models into real-world construction and fabrication success.
• High accountability for quality and constructability.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop VDC professionals, field personnel, and project teams.
• Conduct regular coaching conversations focused on both technical growth and leadership development.
• Build a career development pathway for team members.
• Encourage innovation, problem-solving, and ownership at all levels.
• Provide constructive feedback and recognize achievements that align with company values.
