Moore's Electrical & Mechanical in Altavista is seeking a VDC/BIM Detailer to develop detailed 3D models for mechanical piping and plumbing systems. You will interpret drawings, specs, and submittals to bridge design and prefabrication.

Preferred experience includes Revit, Navisworks, Navisworks, or AutoCAD with a strong constructability mindset. Transitioning from plumbing/pipefitting roles is encouraged to apply.

The Role

The VDC Detailer develops coordinated, constructible models for mechanical piping and plumbing systems while helping move more work from the field into Prefabrication. Based at our Altavista VDC & Fabrication Hub, you'll work alongside VDC and fabrication operations with a direct connection to the people building and installing what you model. We're looking for someone who can bridge the gap between what is modeled and what actually gets built. Experienced VDC candidates are encouraged to apply, but VDC experience isn't the only path into this role. Experienced plumbers, pipefitters, or mechanical tradespeople with strong computer aptitude and an interest in transitioning into VDC are also encouraged to apply. What You'll Do

You Bring

• Mechanical piping, plumbing, pipefitting, or related construction knowledge.
• Strong mechanical/spatial aptitude and understanding of constructability.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Revit, Autodesk Fabrication, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar VDC/BIM experience is preferred.
