The Veterans Canteen Service at the Muskogee VA Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to support meal preparation for Veterans and their families in a fast-paced canteen environment.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of cooking and food safety experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to follow recipes and scale measurements. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of cooking and food safety experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of measurements and ability to multiply or divide recipes to meet daily needs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook meals for the Veterans Canteen Service at the Muskogee VA Medical Center.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist in portioning, plating, and serving meals to Veterans and their families.
