Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including respirator and safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of employees and communities.
• Identify, evaluate, develop, specify, justify, install and start-up process improvements to increase production capacity and yield.
• Participate in safety upgrades and environmental safeguards for overall process optimization.
• Provide engineering assistance to operations, troubleshoot process issues, and develop reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Project Engineering, Maintenance and Corporate Engineering on capital projects.
• Represent or assist in vendor coordination for operating services, materials and equipment.
