Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking a Management Company Controller to oversee the accounting for its management company clients across North America. You will onboard new clients and implement preferred system platforms and processes.

You will supervise Accounting Associates, manage accounts payable and payroll, review entries and reconciliations, and deliver monthly or quarterly reports while supporting tax compliance and budgeting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Four or more years of public and/or private accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and Bill.com.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Bill.com, expense reporting software, and payroll systems.
• Previous Alternative Investment experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting function for multiple management company clients.
• Onboard new clients and implement preferred system platforms and processes.
• Supervise Accounting Associates and Senior Accounting Associates.
• Manage accounts payable and client expense reporting functions.
• Review journal entries, bank reconciliations and supporting work papers.
• Process and record payroll.
• Provide monthly or quarterly reporting to Management.
• Process 1099s and assist with tax compliance.
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Satisfy client ad hoc requests with excellent service.
• Settle intercompany receivables and payables with Fund Teams.
• Function as the primary contact for clients.
