Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions is seeking a Manager, HW VAVE Engineering in hybrid Austin, TX. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers, owning high-impact VAVE projects while driving cost reductions, obsolescence mitigation, and supply continuity across the product lifecycle.

You will define validation plans, ensure fit/form/function, and collaborate across sourcing, operations, quality, and suppliers. 4 days onsite with up to 15% travel supports global initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electronic hardware design, sustaining engineering, or VAVE-focused product engineering.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, with hands-on working-manager experience.
• Proven track record delivering cost-reduction projects with lifecycle impact.
• Experience with ECO/ECN, validation, production release, and supplier qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical and mechanical VAVE engineers, setting priorities and accountability.
• Hands-on manager who personally executes high-impact VAVE projects.
• Deliver annual VAVE targets for cost reduction and supply continuity.
• Identify, prioritize, and drive BOM optimization, alternate sourcing, and design simplification.
• Provide technical leadership on changes ensuring fit/form/function, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Define and execute validation plans; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with sourcing, quality, operations, and suppliers to implement changes.
• Ensure high-quality ECO/ECN documentation and smooth release from approval to plant.
• Track savings, cycle time, status, and risk reduction; communicate progress to leadership.
