Job summary

Versigent is seeking a driven engineer to push best-value components into Americas product designs. You will analyze bills of materials, liaise with OEMs and supply bases, and collaborate across teams to implement cost-saving opportunities.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 2+ years in product engineering or technical sales, and experience with connectors or wire harnesses. Expect travel and close client interaction with global teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) required.
2+ years in product engineering or technical sales.
Experience with connectors, terminals, or wire harnesses.
Experience with OEMs for part approvals.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Face-to-face client engagement experience.
Willingness to travel up to 80% (mostly local).

Responsibilities

Analyze bill of materials and collaborate with cross-functional team to quantify component value opportunities.
Serve as liaison between OEMs and supply base to achieve component validation and approvals.
Partner with internal teams to rapidly implement best-cost component opportunities.
Support purchasing in component strategy development.
Lead evaluation of new components for robustness and total system cost.
Coordinate with Global teams to share opportunities for best-value components.
