A leading dairy product supplier in California is seeking a Vault Sanitation team member responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment. The ideal candidate must be available for night and weekend shifts and have less than one year of experience in a production environment. Qualifications

Job description

Producers Dairy Foods Inc., aleading supplier and distributor of high-quality award-winning dairy products, is looking for Vault Sanitation to join our winning team.

The Vault Sanitation position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all equipment in the Vault. Must be available to work nights and weekends and tolerate working in a cold environment. The successful candidate must be able to work any schedule.

Essential Functions:

• Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities
• Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior
• Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
• Properly cleaning and sanitizing all equipment used in the handling, processing, packaging, and storing of all products, raw, and pasteurized
• Covering all electrical panels when cleaning around them
• Cleaning the exterior of all palletizers, lines, floors, walls and ceiling on a daily basis
• Reporting any unsafe areas or accidents to a supervisor immediately
• Checking chemical titration strengths daily and notes results on a daily basis
• Reporting any equipment failures or other problems to supervisor preparing maintenance work orders as needed
• Cleaning Vault Pit area weekly and inspecting sprinkler system in Vault Pit area
• Filling out all Sanitation documentation with complete and accurate information as required by Company, State, and Federal rules and regulations
• Maintaining appropriate dress and personal appearance standards. Knowing, understanding and adhering to all company policies and procedures, including GMP’s
• Promoting and maintaining company goodwill in all areas. Assisting others and performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary
• Helping maintain the positive image of the company in the trade
• Wearing proper safety equipment: rubber gloves, safety glasses or face mask and apron
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Less than one year experience in production preferably in a manufacturing/food processing environment
• Demonstrate good judgment, and problem solving and decision making skills as well as being an organized
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively with coworkers and management
• Able to work all shifts and days
