Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a sanitation supervisor to direct sanitation staff, ensure food safety, and meet quality goals. You will oversee housekeeping, CIP, pest control, and cleaning of equipment, while promoting safe work practices and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role involves leading shifts, coordinating with HR on development, handling disciplinary actions, and keeping sanitation records. Travel is occasional as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage sanitation.
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude or supervisory experience.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign work, and provide clear direction to sanitation employees.
  • Ensure sanitation processes flow smoothly and daily goals are met.
  • Monitor sanitation activities to meet production and quality standards.
  • Oversee sanitation equipment use and arrange for timely repairs.
  • Promote safe work behaviors and conduct injury investigations when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and GMPs.
  • Communicate with staff through meetings and informal channels.
  • Administer promotions, transfers, timekeeping, evaluations, and coaching.

Job description

Provide work direction and supervision to sanitation employees within the guidelines of standard work rules, union contract provisions (if applicable), and employment policies. Monitor all stages of the food manufacturing sanitation process and ensure quality and sanitation standards are met. Hold self and others accountable for promoting safety rules and regulations and act in accordance with the requirements for food safety and quality. Ensure that the production process flows smoothly, and daily sanitation goals are met. Function as a resource and point of escalation to direct reports. Coach, mentor, and provide performance development opportunities to team members on an ongoing basis.

Job Duties and ResponsibilitIes
  • Schedule, assign work, and provide clear direction to sanitation employees.
  • Ensure that the sanitation process flows smoothly, and daily sanitation goals and standards are met
  • Monitor sanitation activities (housekeeping, pest control, CIP, general equipment cleaning, maintain sanitation schedules, ensure sub milk receiving, standardizing, pasteurization, separating, freezing, cooling, filling, mixing, packaging, storing, etc.) to ensure that plant production and quality standards are met
  • Monitor the equipment used in production processes to ensure that equipment is functioning efficiently and is properly cleaned and sanitized. Arrange for timely repair/resolution of sanitation equipment failures
  • Actively promote safe work behaviors and hold self and direct reports accountable for following safety rules and regulations. Conduct accident/injury investigations and send reports of injury to HR in a timely manner to meet rapid reporting standards. May coordinate and/or facilitate plant safety meetings and training
  • Understand and fulfill the requirements and regulations for food safety and quality. Administer policies, procedures and programs related to operations and quality
  • Proactively look for ways to increase sanitation operational efficiency and contain costs
  • Work effectively with employees to promote positive and productive working relationships. Effectively apply work rules, union contract provisions (if applicable), and employment policies. Administer discipline consistently and fairly. Work with Human Resources and plant management to resolve employee grievances
  • Actively communicate with employees through shift meetings and informal methods
  • Complete supervisory activities such as administering employee promotions and transfers; reviewing and editing employee timekeeping; completing performance evaluations; mentoring, training, and coaching employees
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all company, state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing sanitation
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude, team lead experience, or supervisory experience
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation processes ( CIP programs) and principles.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement models
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training, and personnel management
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamwork
  • Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
  • Able to think and use independent judgment in planning and organizing multiple tasks and information
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and follow through on day-to-day responsibilities
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
