Summary

Responsible for assisting the bartender by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists bartenders with opening and closing of bar.
  • Monitors and replenishes ice, fruit, beer, wine, spirits, mixers, and glasses throughout the shift as needed in both the general and VIP areas.
  • Responds to bartender calls for bar needs.
  • Clears bar and tables as needed.
  • Prepares a requisition for bar needs that were depleted during shift.
  • Keeps work prep and serving areas clean according to State Board of Health standards.
  • Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction by responding to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Language Ability

Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Math Ability

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and less than one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
