Alma Nove is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and ensure smooth bar operations. You will help with stocking, cleaning, and replenishing supplies while delivering friendly service to guests.

Position: Barback

Reports to: General Manager

The Bar Back supports the bartenders and ensures the bar operates efficiently by maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and assisting with customer service. This role is crucial for providing a seamless experience for staff and guests, ensuring the bar area is always organized and well-stocked.

Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions

Support Bartenders:

• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving beverages.
• Refill ice bins, restock glassware, and replenish garnishes.
• Retrieve and restock liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies as needed.
• Collect and wash used glassware and bar tools.
• Ensure bartenders have all necessary supplies and ingredients.

Customer Service:

• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist in taking and delivering orders during busy periods.
• Address guest inquiries and direct them to the appropriate staff member.

Maintain Cleanliness:

• Keep the bar area clean and organized at all times.
• Wipe down surfaces, clean spills, and remove trash on a regular basis.
• Ensure the bar floor is clean and free of hazards.
• Clean and sanitize bar equipment and tools.

Stock and Inventory:

• Monitor inventory levels and inform management of low-stock items.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
• Organize and rotate stock to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations.

Compliance and Safety:

• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management.

Minimum Requirements

• Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests - smile and have a great time!
• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cocktails and bar terminology is a plus.
• Must be of legal age to handle alcohol.
