Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting in training new production employees, including tasks related to production, cleaning, answering questions, and work routines. This role also involves responsibilities on the computer, paperwork, and communication with supervisors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee departments ensuring production, cleaning, and priorities are managed effectively.
• Assist with training all new employees.
• Work closely with management and supervisors.
• Ensure all production employees work safely and follow procedures and policies.
• Keep management informed of progress or issues.
• Enforce all company rules.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Detect and correct GMP/Safety violations.
• Address employee issues.
• Follow GMP and SQF policies, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality. Report any conditions affecting food safety, quality, or safety.
• Responsible for food safety and food quality of MFI products.
• May fill in for the Area Supervisor as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Experience: Lead experience preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense to carry out instructions and interpret instructions in various formats.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of basic tools.
