The role covers cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial and venous studies, with on-call requirements and a 40-hour work week in a Days/Afternoons shift.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, coordinating with physicians, and documenting findings in the EMR. Licensure in vascular tech and BLS are required within the first year.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree in an applied health science field with concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study (preferred).
• One year of experience as vascular technologist (preferred).
• Credentialed in vascular technology by ARDMS/ARRT/CCI within 1 year (required).
• BLS required at hire or before independent patient care.

Aufgaben

• Performs high quality diagnostic vascular examinations using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment.
• Prepares patients for procedures and provides instructions to obtain results and reduce anxiety.
• Contacts referring physician for exam clarification when needed.
• Uses EMR to review patient information, enter preliminary reporting and document critical findings.
