Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a vascular sonographer to provide diagnostic ultrasound of the vascular system and support radiology colleagues in delivering accurate results.

You will ensure patient safety, explain procedures, position patients, and adjust equipment to obtain the best images. Involvement in intraoperative ultrasound and strict adherence to accreditation protocols are expected.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• BLS certification required; ALS may be required depending on role.
• Active credentialing through ARDMS/CCI/ARRT or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound to generate non-invasive images of the vascular system.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and makes necessary adjustments to capture the best possible images.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and adjusting equipment as needed.
• Complies with vascular imaging protocols per accreditation guidelines.
• Provides intraoperative ultrasound as requested.
