Job summary

University of Virginia UVA Health seeks a Vascular Sonography Technologist to perform specialized vascular ultrasound examinations and contribute to high-quality diagnostic studies in a leading academic medical center.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with vascular surgeons and imaging teams, and a Monday–Friday schedule with limited call from 4 PM to 11 PM and rotating holidays. Minimum requirements include an accredited program graduate and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in the appropriate area of specialty.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Produce accurate diagnostic studies to support timely clinical decisions.
• Collaborate with vascular surgeons, physicians, APPs, nurses, and imaging staff.
• Provide compassionate care and patient education throughout the imaging process.
• Apply sound clinical judgment when evaluating complex vascular findings.
