UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Vascular Sonography Technologist to perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations and deliver high-quality diagnostic studies in a fast-paced academic medical setting.

You will collaborate with vascular surgeons and imaging staff, provide patient-centered care, and participate in a Monday–Friday schedule with limited on-call coverage; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited program in appropriate area of specialty as required by position.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensure: American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification required; additional requirements specified by position.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job requires standing for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, reaching, repetitive motion (keyboard); ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations utilizing advanced imaging technology.
• Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic studies that support timely clinical decision making.
• Collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and fellow imaging professionals.
• Provide compassionate care and education to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Apply sound clinical judgment while evaluating complex vascular findings.
• Contribute to a department recognized for excellent patient experience scores and exceptional teamwork.
• Participate in a schedule that is primarily Monday through Friday, with limited call coverage from 4 PM to 11 PM and rotating holiday and weekend responsibilities.
• Support ongoing quality initiatives and best practices within an environment committed to continuous improvement.
