Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a vascular ultrasound technologist to perform examinations, prepare patients for procedures, and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high‑quality vascular images.

You will interpret images, document findings, and coordinate with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses. RDMS/RVT/ARDMS credentials and BLS are preferred; prior similar experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree Radiologic Technology required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS Certification).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
  • Certified Sonographer - ARDMS preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
  • Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
  • Document exam findings in the patient's medical record.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
  • Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
  • Document exam findings in the patient's medical record.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.
Qualifications
