Job summary

Mass General Brigham invites applications for a vascular ultrasound role. The candidate will prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and interpret vascular images for diagnostic purposes.

Required is an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology with BLS; RDMS/RVT/Certified Sonographer credentials are preferred. Onsite position with typical 40-hour week and a sign-on bonus up to $20K may be offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree Radiologic Technology.
• Licenses: BLS Certification and ARDMS credentials preferred.
• Experience: 2–3 years in a similar vascular ultrasound role.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.

Essential Functions

• Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
• Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
• Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
• Document exam findings in the patient's medical record.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree Radiologic Technology required
• Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
• Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
• Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
• Experience: Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required
