Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking a per diem vascular ultrasound technologist to perform vascular ultrasound exams, prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and interpret images.

The requirements include an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, an NH Sonographer License, and 2–3 years of prior experience; BLS, RDMS, RVT or Certified Sonographer credentials preferred. Onsite, day shift.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.

  • Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
  • Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
  • Document exam findings in the patient's medical record.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.
Qualifications
Education
  • Associate's degree Radiologic Technology required
Licenses and Credentials
  • Sonographer License required in state of NH
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
  • Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
  • Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
Experience
  • Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required

  • Experience with vascular ultrasound equipment.
