Atlantic Health System in Morristown, NJ seeks a Vascular Tech I to perform vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with IAC standards and hospital protocols. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate reporting, and collaboration within the vascular lab team.

Responsabilidades

• Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report.
• Verifies patient identity and informs and observes the patient to ensure education, cooperation, and safety.
• Completes clerical tasks for ultrasound tests and records all testing information accurately and timely.
• Ensures prompt and accurate reporting of critical results per policy while maintaining patient privacy.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, and center staff in a pleasant and informative manner.
• Contributes to teamwork and problem solving; mentors others when appropriate.
• Maintains a clean, orderly lab environment and notifies supervisor of needs or problems.
• Follows infection control policies and ensures proper opening/closing procedures and equipment care.

• Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams. Follows established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report appropriate examinations. Verifies identity and informs and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient education, cooperation, and safety. Assists in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement.
• Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests. Completes and records all testing information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Ensures that critical results are reported promptly and accurately, following established policy. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, and other center personnel. Maintains pleasant and informative manner in communicating with patients, physicians, and other center personnel. Makes recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies and procedures.
• Enhances environment of teamwork. Shows motivation, enthusiasm, acceptance of responsibility and personal accountability with regard to daily duties. Engages in problem solving in difficult situations. Asks for assistance / guidance when appropriate and accepts suggestions in a positive manner. Demonstrates understanding of impact of individual performance on team. Seeks to mentor and develop others.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. Cleans patient areas after each use and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly environment in the lab. Notifies supervisor of stocking needs and equipment needs or problems. Takes responsibility for lab opening and closing procedures when appropriate. Cleans and maintains all equipment according to Hospital Infection Control policies and procedures.
