Job summary

Page Mechanical Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional with a focus on vascular imaging.

The candidate will perform vascular ultrasounds, including upper and lower extremity and related studies, often in a dialysis-care setting. Requirements include an Associate’s degree in diagnostic sonography, ARDMS SPI certification, and 1–2 years of vascular ultrasound experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of non-invasive vascular ultrasound experience required.
• Experience in acute care or vascular lab setting preferred.
• Must be able to obtain medical history and prepare patient for exam.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates compliance with code of conduct and policies and reports concerns.
• Performs ultrasound procedures as ordered and maintains equipment cleanliness.
• Uses PACS according to protocol and documents findings.
• Maintains equipment and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
• Works with radiologists and coordinators to ensure smooth patient care.
• Stocks room and uses EHR/patient tracking for reporting.

Job description

• This position requires extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, ultrasound practices for vein mapping with arterial and venous studies including upper and lower extremity, renal studies including renal doppler.
• Majority of our patients are on dialysis
• Tech needs to be able to work independently and think outside the box.

We are looking for someone who can provide great care to our patients, keep time on task, work independently, provide quality imaging and is computer proficient. Someone willing to learn and easily can adapt to changes.

Education Required:

• High school Diploma
• Associate's degree in diagnostic Medical Sonography
• preferred bachelor's degree

Licensure/Certification:

• Preferred: Credentialed Registered Vascular Tech (RVT through ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with in 12 to 18 months of hire.
• Preferred: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
• Required: ARMS SPI Certificate

Experience:

REQUIRED: 1 to 2 years' experience with acute care or vascular lab, non-invasive vascular ultrasound testing. One year experience with specific diagnostic protocol in lower and upper extremity evaluation and abdominal. Experience with GE ultrasound machines preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates compliance with code of conduct and compliance policies, takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.
• Obtains appropriate medical history before patient examination and prepares patient for exam
• Performs appropriate ultrasound procedures as ordered
• Maintains cleanliness of all equipment and room while maintaining adequate stock of supplies
• Uses PACS according to protocol
• Maintains equipment; reporting all deficiencies to the immediate supervisor
