Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform vascular ultrasound procedures with independent judgment and to provide reliable diagnostic information for physician interpretation. The role requires knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology and care for patients from adolescent to geriatric, with on-call responsibilities for emergent procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensure or other certifications: RVT or Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in field of Vascular; BLS Certification.
• Educational requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of vascular experience.
• Preferred: Associates Degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient in vascular department.
• Communicates assessment findings and reports changes to the physician.
• Maintains records, participates in evaluation of tests, and prepares diagnostic reports.
• Ensures patient comfort before, during, and after procedures; assists with positioning.
