Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform vascular ultrasound procedures with independent judgment to provide reliable diagnostic information for Physician interpretation. The role requires knowledge of vascular anatomy, care across age groups, and participation in on-call coverage for emergent vascular procedures.

Qualifications

• RVT or Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in vascular field.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years vascular experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient in vascular department.
• Communicates and documents assessment findings to the physician.
• Meets department productivity standards.
• Prioritizes acute needs and assists with testing.
• Generates reports and records from diagnostic procedures.
• Performs initial interpretation of non-invasive vascular studies for reading physician.
• Ensures data entry accuracy for charges and patient information.
• Maintains records for accreditation requirements and keeps equipment clean and functional.
