Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform general and vascular ultrasound exams, review exams in PACS, and ensure quality and patient safety. The role requires VIR RTT/ARDMS certification and BLS within 90 days.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate paperwork, prepare exams for interpretation, and uphold a safe, patient-centered environment. Prior related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold RVT ARDMS certification before start date.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and vascular ultrasound exams.
• Confirm physician order before exams and collect information prior to ultrasound procedure.
• Review exams in PACS for quality and completeness.
• Complete proper paperwork and distribute exams for interpretation.
• Maintain room cleanliness, clean the machine, and manage exams daily.
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort during transportation and positioning.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet department needs.
