Job summary

Altru Hospital - Devils Lake is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general and vascular ultrasound exams with a focus on safety and patient comfort. The role requires obtaining a physician’s order, coordinating with PACS, and preparing exams for interpretation by physicians.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of start date.
• Proficiency in English reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams.
• Ensures a written physician order is on file before procedures.
• Reviews exams in PACS for quality and completeness; distributes exams for interpretation.
• Maintains room cleanliness, equipment and supplies; ensures patient safety and comfort.
