Responsibilities

Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, seeks a full-time Vascular Technologist for our Franciscan Vascular Associates in Tacoma, WA. This busy, fast-paced office environment requires teamwork, weekend shifts, and rotating holiday coverage.

Job Summary

The Vascular Technologist performs diagnostic non-invasive testing to assess blood flow to tissues and organs, aiding physicians in diagnosis. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, preparing patients, performing clinical procedures, and recording data for interpretation.

Additional duties involve staying updated with department standards, maintaining skills through ongoing education, preparing ultrasound equipment, delivering care across all ages, maintaining documentation, and handling general office tasks.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

• Completion of an AMA-CAHEA accredited vascular ultrasound training program and at least one year of post-graduate experience or demonstrated proficiency in diagnostics or ultrasound.

License / Certification

• Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or obtained within one year of employment.
