Job summary

Valley Baptist - Brownsville Hospital is seeking a qualified Vascular Ultrasound technologist to assist in coordinating the vascular laboratory and performing imaging studies. Under guidance of the lab manager, you will ensure quality studies, train staff, perform daily equipment checks, and notify physicians when results indicate a concern.

Required: Associate degree; 1 year clinical experience; ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT certifications (or registry-eligible with registration within 12 months);

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• 1 year of clinical setting experience is required.
• Certifications ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT are required or registry-eligible with registration within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist in all activities performed in the vascular laboratory.
• Ensure delivery of quality vascular ultrasound studies.
• Perform vascular examinations and daily equipment checks.
• Notify physician immediately when clinical symptoms and test results reveal a concern.

Education

Associate degree

ARDMS; AHA BLS; RVT certificates

Job description

Under the guidance of the manager of the vascular laboratory, assists in the coordination of all activities performed in the laboratory, including performing vascular imaging studies.

Coordinates and assists in all activities performed in the vascular laboratory. Ensures delivery of quality vascular ultrasound studies, and acts as an educational resource. Performs checks on equipment daily. Performs vascular examinations. Notifies physician immediately when clinical symptoms and test results reveal a positive outcome.

Education
Required: Associate degree.

Experience
Required: 1 year experience in a clinical setting.

Certifications
Required: ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT; or registry-eligible with registration required within 12 months.

Preferred: ICVAL.
