Job summary

Valley Baptist - Harlingen seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs for patients from newborn to elderly under physician guidance using x-ray energy with professional judgment.

Responsibilities include rotating through OR, Urography, trauma and assisting with fluoroscopy, arthrography and OR procedures. Requires ARRT or registry eligibility, BLS, and relevant licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Under minimal supervision, performs diagnostic radiographic procedures as requested by a physician.
• Exercises professional judgment in applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment across all ages.
• Produces high-quality radiographs and rotates through advanced areas including OR and trauma.
• Assists with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.

Job description

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma; assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.

Education:

Required: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program

Preferred: Associate degree

Experience:

Preferred: 1-3 years

Certifications:

Required: ARRT or registry eligible; must have ARRT within one year post graduation; AHA BLS, state license if required
