Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. seeks a Per Diem Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Bakersfield, CA. Roles include inpatient care, OR cases, outpatient vascular clinics, and postoperative follow-up.

Shifts are 10 hours (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with weekday coverage and flexible scheduling based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Current PA-C or Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
• 1–2 years of vascular surgery experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative surgical environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a fully equipped outpatient vascular clinic.
• Assist with inpatient endovascular and open vascular surgery cases.
• Support outpatient surgery center cases.
• Manage patients with vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, dialysis access, and carotid disease.
• Participate in elective and postoperative vascular clinics.
• Perform inpatient rounds and consultations.
• Assist vascular surgeons in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

We are seeking a Per Diem Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitionerto join an experienced vascular surgery team in Bakersfield, California. Thisposition provides the opportunity to support inpatient care, operating roomcases, outpatient vascular clinic visits, and postoperative follow-up. Per-diemAPPs will provide coverage based on departmental needs and provideravailability.

Compensation: $136,500

Schedule

• Per-diem schedule with shifts availablebased on coverage needs
• 10-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekday coverage
• Flexible scheduling based on mutualavailability
