The Cardiovascular Care Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to support physicians across our New Jersey offices and hospital settings. The PA will help ensure high levels of patient care and satisfaction, including pre- and post-operative management.

Responsibilities include rounds, documentation, patient education, discharge planning, and on-call duties after training. The ideal candidate has hospital PA experience and may have vascular surgery exposure, with NCCPA certification and NJ

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of PA experience in a hospital setting.
• Vascular surgery experience is a plus.
• Current NCCPA certification and state PA license.
• BLS/ACLS certification compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Admit hospitalizations after discussion with the MD and coordinate care.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative care per practice protocols.
• Perform daily rounds and document progress, plans, and summaries.
• Provide intra-operative and post-operative support to physicians.
• Interview and examine patients; document findings in records.
• Consult on wards and in the emergency department as needed.
• Assist with procedures like venipuncture, EKGs, and catheter insertions.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
• Handle phone inquiries from hospital staff and families regarding care.
• Support quality assurance and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• On-call rotational weekends after training.
