Job summary

The Cardiovascular Care Group in Newark, NJ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support physicians, ensuring high levels of patient care and satisfaction. You will admit patients, deliver pre- and post-operative care, and participate in rounds with the supervising physician to determine and implement therapeutic plans.

Qualifications include an NP degree, NJ State Board certification, and BLS/ACLS; minimum two years hospital experience is required, with vascular surgery experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients requiring hospitalization after discussion with MD.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative care per practice protocols.
• Perform rounds on hospitalized patients; document progress and plans.
• Provide intra-operative and post-operative support to physicians.
• Interview and examine patients; document findings.
• Consult with patients on wards and in ER.
• Participate in quality assurance and patient satisfaction programs.
