Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Physician Assistant in Vascular Surgery for a part-time role based in Weymouth, MA. The PA will work under vascular surgeons, performing clinic and inpatient duties, preoperative evaluations, postoperative rounds, and assist in the operating room.

Coverage includes collaboration with Brigham & Women's Surgical Associates. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited PA program with PA licensure and preferred two or more years of practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education - Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Minimum Work Experience - Prefer two or more years of practice.
• Required Licenses / Registrations - PA license required; ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Practice/clinic duties including history taking, preoperative evaluation, prescribing medications and perioperative care.
• Floor duties including rounding, orders, wound care, discharge planning and documentation.
• Operating room duties including first or second assist and writing postoperative orders.
