Job summary

Boston Medical Center Health System in Brighton, MA, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Vascular Surgery team. This full-time outpatient position involves collaboration with vascular surgeons and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current Massachusetts NP or PA license (or eligibility).
• DEA registration (or eligibility).
• BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic disease.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with vascular surgeons.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Provide patient education regarding disease management, wound care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nursing staff, rehabilitation, and case management.
• Document clinical encounters accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
