Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses and staff in a fast-paced clinic. You will help manage patient flow, assist with examinations, and handle related administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean exam rooms, performing delegated procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations), and assisting the care team while upholding patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or must be obtained within six months.
• Zero to two years’ experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare patients for examination.
• Assist with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations and specimen collection as directed.
• Maintain and disinfect exam rooms, stock vaccines/medications, and inventory.
• Support providers and care team, communicate with patients professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
