Pulse Heart Institute, part of MultiCare Health System, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for our Tacoma-area clinics. This per diem, dayshift role supports physicians and APPs, with ongoing patient flow management and direct patient care.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, taking vital signs, performing venipuncture and assisting with exams. The MA-C must be MA-C certified in Washington, hold current BLS, and have at least one year of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Washington MA-C certification required.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff.
• Interviewing patients.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administering medications in compliance with Washington State DOH regulations.
• Relaying instructions to patients and families/caregivers.
• Sending and receiving patient medical records.
• Facilitating patient referrals.
• Preparing forms for patients.
