Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Beaufort/Bluffton, SC is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to join a PRN vascular imaging team. You will perform high-quality non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies in a collaborative outpatient setting, working with vascular surgeons and clinicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Requires high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in diagnostic medical sonography, RVT/RVS/RT(VS) certification, BLS, and an accredited program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of Diagnostic Medical Sonography experience.
• Current RVT/RVS/RT(VS) certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS.
• Preferred associate degree from a CAHEEP-accredited program.
• 2–4 years of vascular sonography experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Vascular/ Cardiovascular/ Ultrasonography program.
• Active SDMS or SVU membership.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including duplex imaging and 2D vascular imaging.
• Conduct ABI testing and produce diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Recognize abnormal findings and communicate urgent results when appropriate.
• Accurately perform measurements and documentation while ensuring patient comfort.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Follow MUSC imaging protocols and department policies.
