Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians is seeking a PRN Vascular Sonographer to join a growing outpatient vascular surgery practice in Beaufort, SC. You will perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies alongside vascular surgeons, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of Diagnostic Medical Sonography experience.
• Current RVT, RVS or RT(VS) certification and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations (duplex, Doppler, 2D imaging).
• Conduct ABI testing and produce diagnostic-quality images for interpretation.
• Recognize abnormal findings and communicate urgent results when appropriate.
• Accurately document measurements and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with vascular surgeons and the healthcare team to deliver care.
• Follow MUSC imaging protocols and department policies.
