Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a qualified sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for the MCP network’s rural health facilities. The role requires HEI or higher education in diagnostic medical sonography, ARDMS certification, and BLS.

You will provide high-quality images and collaborate with clinicians to support patient care. The position is at MUSC Community Physicians, with hourly pay and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred associates degree from an accredited allied health program (CAAHEP).
• Minimum two years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• ARDMS, RVS, or RT(VS) certification required.
• BLS certification from AHA or red cross is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to image organs and tissues for diagnosis.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and images.
• Ensure image quality and proper documentation for physician review.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
