Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Vascular Sonographer III to join the WFBMC Main - Cardiology: Vascular Laboratory team in Winston-Salem. You will perform vascular ultrasound testing, document findings and support diagnosis per lab protocols, with focus on patient comfort and accurate reporting.

Requirements include graduation from a CAAHEP vascular sonography program (or equivalent RVT/RVS), BLS, and credentialing within one year for new grads.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program or equivalent RVT/RVS credentials.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.
• Competencies in ABI, arterial Doppler, carotid, venous mapping and Exercise ABI.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders and reviews patient records prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing following lab protocols.
• Recognizes and documents pathologies to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician with detailed preliminary report.
• Enters measurement data and final report into the cardiovascular system.
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning per manufacturer guidelines.

Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30

Position Highlights

• Sign on Bonus: This job qualifies for a $15,000 sign on bonus (New Hire), $10,000 sign on bonus (New Grad) provided the candidate meets eligibility requirements.
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 in Relocation Assistance (for qualified candidates)

What You'll Need

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Competencies in: ABI, Arterial Doppler (no intervention) Carotid (no intervention) Aortic ( no intervention) , Saphenous vein mapping, Exercise ABI, DVT Upper/ Lower extremity required.

What You'll Do

• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocol's as necessary to support diagnosis.

• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
• Enters charges into electronic medical record.
