Northwestern Medicine seeks a Sonographer IHR to perform vascular sonography in alignment with our standards. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, educating patients, preparing equipment, and ensuring image quality. RDMS credential within 3 months and BLS are required; one year of vascular imaging experience preferred.

The role emphasizes safety, patient cooperation, and accurate reporting of findings within an imaging services team.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography program.
• RDMS certification within 3 months of graduation; BLS for healthcare providers.
• Preferred one year experience in vascular imaging.

Responsabilidades

• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patient regarding procedures and exam processes.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Set exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Ensure safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Enter and report scan results.
