Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist to perform comprehensive vascular and neurovascular ultrasound studies. The role requires RVT licensure, CPR/BLS, and the ability to document findings and communicate with physicians for timely patient care.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years of experience, CPR-ACLS, and a Bachelor’s degree in Vascular Technology or Health Science. The position emphasizes quality assurance and collaboration with care teams within the

Qualifications

• RVT license required.
• CPR BLS through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs all vascular/neurovascular ultrasound procedures with quality per QA criteria.
• Evaluates venous and arterial systems, including Doppler and color duplex studies.
• Performs carotid, abdominal, transcranial, and other specialty vascular studies.
• Document patient history and prepare preliminary reports; notify attending physician as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
• Participate in QA programs and data reporting to optimize procedures.
