The Vascular Sonographer is responsible for performing non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations to evaluate blood flow and vascular structures. This role utilizes specialized ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, assess vascular abnormalities, and support physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions.
The Vascular Sonographer ensures patient safety, comfort, and adherence to established clinical protocols while delivering exceptional patient care.
Education Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Vascular Technology, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Licenses and Certifications Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Experience Previous experience performing vascular ultrasound examinations preferred. Experience in a hospital, outpatient, or vascular laboratory setting preferred.
