Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a vascular ultrasound technologist to perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and interpret results for physician review.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, BLS certification, and preferred ARDMS credentials. Sign-on bonus up to $20K is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • RDMS preferred, RVT preferred, and certified sonographer preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams, explain procedures and position patients.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain vascular images.
  • Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
  • Document exam findings in the medical record.
  • Communicate findings with physicians and healthcare team.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
  • Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
  • Document exam findings in the patient’s medical record.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree Radiologic Technology required.
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification].
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
  • Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
Experience

Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required.

Pay Range

$47 - $50.25/Hourly Grade 5
