The Cardiovascular Institute of the Rockies seeks a vascular sonographer to perform quality peripheral and abdominal vascular ultrasound examinations. You will operate ultrasound equipment, educate patients, acquire measurements per protocol, and prepare digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current ARDMS or CCI, or registry eligible and pass within one year of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
• A valid driver’s license.
• BLS or ACLS to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Perform vascular ultrasound examinations of peripheral and abdominal regions with high quality and accuracy.
• Educate patients on the ultrasound process and answer questions during procedures.
• Acquire measurements per protocol and create digital preliminary reports for interpreting physicians.
• Verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
• Maintain and verify data accuracy for clinical reports, demographics and billing.
• Ensure equipment is functional and maintained for immediate use.

As a vascular sonographer, you will complete all functions necessary in performing quality peripheral and abdominal vascular ultrasound examinations.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures, educating the patient on the process and answering any questions they may have
• Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures.
• Routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.
• Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician
• Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports
• Shows a high degree of judgment and skill in use of sonographic equipment.
• Ensures that equipment is constantly functional and maintained for immediate use.
• Maintains records and reports on equipment and procedures performed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• Current ARDMS or CCI or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of hire
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
• A valid driver’s license
• BLS or ACLS (Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in dedicated vascular ultrasound
• One (1) years' experience preferred as an ultrasound technologist. Vascular experience preferred.

This position is a clinical position and will report to the office 4 days per week, day shift, for a total of 32-36 hours per week. Exact hours and day shift are negotiable.

Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
