Job summary

Diagnostic Imaging Solutions (DIS), a nationwide leader in cardiovascular imaging, is seeking a Vascular Sonographer. You will perform a full range of vascular studies, communicate with patients and physicians, and support accreditation efforts at client sites.

Qualifications

• Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) certification.
• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience; echo experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous insufficiency, and arterial imaging.
• Active BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full-range of vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, venous, arterial, and ABI per protocol.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality imaging and patient experience.
• Obtain patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician.
• Assist with accreditation processes (ACR and IAC).
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and report malfunctions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care.
• Travel to assigned client locations in a safe manner.
• Maintain professional standards and ethics at all times.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform a full-range of vascular ultrasound studies to include carotid, venous, arterial, ABI, and other vascular exams while following established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure optimal imaging and exceptional patient experience.
• Obtain a thorough patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician.
• Assist with ACR and IAC accreditation processes.
• Conduct work in a sterile environment based on established protocols and client processes.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely, ensuring routine maintenance is up-to-date and immediately reporting any malfunctions or concerns.
• Participate in quality assessment and process improvement initiatives to ensure continuous quality improvement of care.
• Travel to assigned client locations in a safe manner.
• Maintain standards of ethical professionalism at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Daylight Hours

Minimum Qualifications

• Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) Certification
• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program
• 2 years of Vascular Ultrasound experience; Echo experience is a plus
• Demonstrated proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous insufficiency, and arterial imaging. Experience in procedures a plus.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Ability to push/pull heavy medical equipment.
• Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions

• Work is performed at outpatient testing centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician office settings with moderate to high patient volume. Sonographers must travel in all weather conditions.
