Job summary

Diagnostic Imaging Solutions (DIS) is hiring a Multi‑Modality Sonographer to perform general ultrasound imaging, transthoracic echo and vascular studies across client sites with a standard daytime schedule.

You will ensure high-quality images, communicate findings to physicians, and support accreditation processes while traveling to assigned locations. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Active ARDMS Certification.
• Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) Certification.
• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) Certification; RVT/RVS a plus.
• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
• 2 years of Ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous, and arterial imaging.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Performs general ultrasound imaging.
• Performs transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo exams following protocols.
• Performs vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, venous, arterial, and ABI.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure optimal imaging.
• Obtain thorough patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician.
• Assist with ACR and IAC accreditation processes.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely and report malfunctions.
• Travel to assigned client locations in a safe manner.

Your Responsibilities

• Performs general ultrasound imaging.
• Performs transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo exams while following established protocols.
• Performs a full‑range of vascular ultrasound studies to include carotid, venous, arterial, ABI, and other vascular exams while following established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure optimal imaging and exceptional patient experience.
• Obtain a thorough patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician.
• Assist with ACR and IAC accreditation processes.
• Conduct work in a sterile environment based on established protocols and client processes.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely, ensuring routine maintenance is up‑to‑date and immediately reporting any malfunctions or concerns.
• Participate in quality assessment and process improvement initiatives to ensure continuous quality improvement of care.
• Travel to assigned client locations in a safe manner.
• Maintain standards of ethical professionalism at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Active ARDMS Certification
• Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) Certification
• Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) Certification; RVT/RVS a plus
• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program
• 2 years of Ultrasound experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous insufficiency, and arterial imaging. Experience in procedures a plus.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Ability to push/pull heavy medical equipment.
• Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions

• Work is performed at outpatient testing centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician office settings with moderate to high patient volume. Sonographers must travel in all weather conditions.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for periods of time.
• Walking, stooping, turning, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employees are required to use protective equipment.
