Job summary

Diagnostic Imaging Solutions (DIS), a subsidiary of Catalyst MedTech, seeks a Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform transthoracic echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds in a multi-site setting. The role emphasizes independent work, a consistent schedule, and ongoing professional development with travel to client locations.

Ideal candidates bring RVT/RCS credentials, 2+ years of vascular and echo experience, and a commitment to high-quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) certification.
  • Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI); RVT/RVS a plus.
  • 2+ years of both vascular and echo ultrasound experience.
  • Proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous insufficiency, and arterial imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo exams per protocol.
  • Perform vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, venous, arterial, ABI.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff for optimal imaging and patient experience.
  • Obtain patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician.
  • Assist with accreditation processes (ACR/IAC).
  • Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely and report malfunctions.
  • Engage in quality assessment and ongoing process improvements.
  • Travel to assigned client locations as required.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Performs transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo exams while following established protocols.
  • Performs a full-range of vascular ultrasound studies to include carotid, venous, arterial, ABI, and other vascular exams while following established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure optimal imaging and exceptional patient experience.
  • Obtain a thorough patient history and present key findings to the interpreting physician.
  • Assist with ACR and IAC accreditation processes.
  • Conduct work in a sterile environment based on established protocols and client processes.
  • Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely, ensuring routine maintenance is up-to-date and immediately reporting any malfunctions or concerns.
  • Participate in quality assessment and process improvement initiatives to ensure continuous quality improvement of care.
  • Travel to assigned client location in a safe manner.
  • Maintain standards of ethical professionalism at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a-5p

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) Certification
  • Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI); RVT/RVS a plus
  • Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound program
  • 2+ years of both Vascular & Echo ultrasound experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cerebrovascular, venous insufficiency, and arterial imaging. Experience in procedures a plus.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Ability to push/pull heavy medical equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions:

Work is performed at outpatient testing centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician office settings with moderate to high patient volume. Sonographers must travel in all weather conditions.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for periods of time.
  • Walking, stooping, turning, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Occupational Exposure:

Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employees are required to use protective equipment.
