Position Details:

• M-F 8am-4:30pm
• Rotating Saturday every 6-7th weekend
• Call on Sunday of the same weekend from 7am-noon (No weeknight call)

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services, plus critical and emergency care, including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients with a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Additionally, Memorial Belleville has been accredited by the American College of Radiology as a Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been recognized as a Magnet organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital, was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, plus critical care.

The Cardiovascular Unit of Memorial Hospital offers diagnostic and therapeutic services based on physician orders, available in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Registered Vascular Sonographer performs various tests on adult and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomical and physiological disorders. Exams include carotid imaging, peripheral plethysmography, Doppler waveform, segmental pressure, venous and arterial imaging, and thoracic outlet studies. May also perform vascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Performs vascular studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required.
• Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.

• Associate or Trade School Equivalency

Experience

• RVT, RVS, or equivalent
