Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Altoona, PA is seeking a part-time Vascular Sonographer to perform vascular ultrasound studies focused on the lower extremities and ensure a superior patient experience. The role requires travel training out of state for the first 3+ weeks and 25–32 hours per week across Altoona, State College, and Johnstown clinics.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited vascular ultrasound program, RVT/RVS/RPhS or eligibility within 90 days, and experience with venous insufficiency,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program.
• Current RVT, RVS, or RPhS credential or eligibility within 90 days.
• Experience performing venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images.
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, venous reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex exams.
• Conduct additional vascular imaging as applicable (carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, PVR).
• Independently document and report ultrasound findings with accuracy and quality.
• Support patient care within a vein clinic or vascular imaging setting.
• Use PACS and EMR systems to manage studies and workflow.

Position Summary:

As a Vascular Sonographer at USA Clinics Group, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound examinations focused on the vascular system. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vascular ultrasound assessments on patients, specifically targeting the lower extremities, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout the process.

Position Details:

Location: Floats between our Altoona, State College, and Johnstown clinics.

Schedule: Part-Time (Monday-Thursday) between 25-32 hours per week.

Must be able to travel train, out of state, for the first 3+ weeks.

Compensation: $40-$47/hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies includingvenous insufficiency, venous reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations.
• Perform additional vascular imaging studies if applicable such ascarotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing.
• Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment.
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems to document studies, manage images, and support clinical workflow.
• Apply broad sonography knowledge when appropriate, including experience with general ultrasound modalities such as OB/GYN and abdominal.

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program,required.
• CurrentRVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist), or RPhS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer)credential, or eligibility to obtain certification within 90 days isrequired.
• Demonstrated experience performingvenous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies is preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images,required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a patient-focused healthcare environment,required.
